I perform my research using a variety of sources, both onsite and online. I live in Orem, Utah, so I have access to, and use the Family History Library in Salt Lake City at least twice a week.
I also have subscriptions to the major online genealogy data providers such as ancestry.com, footnote.com, and WorldVitalRecords.com.
At the conclusion of a Research Project I provide each client with a comprehenive Research Report which includes:
- Research Log
- Time and Expense Sheet
- Pedigree Chart (if applicable)
- Family Group Sheets (if applicable)
- GEDCOM file (if applicable)
- Photocopies of all critical documents (or original if applicable)
- Complete Source Location and Citition
- Research Conclusions (both brief and expanded)
- Recommendations for Further Research

Basic Individual Research and Report. This is the classic "per hour" research, when you need to have a single individual or objective researched to help you get over, through, or around the "brick wall". Application |

Basic Four Generation Report. This includes the starting individual, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, plus all siblings and spouses. Application |

Set up Genealogy Website. Includes website URL, ISP hosting service, and software to generate genealogy pages and reports. Please email me with your request or questions. |

Included at no extra cost: Travel to FHL in Salt Lake City (I go twice a week); Parking; CD/DVD creation and copying; printed progress reports (if required); printed final report. |

My standard research fee is $50 per hour, with an initial $250 retainer (non-refundable). This allows for 1 hour of document and report preparation and 4 hours of actual research.
At the end of the initial research I provide a written report which includes a log of all documents researched (with complete source citation), images of any original documents (if available), printed pedigree chart and family group sheets, and my analysis and recommendations for further research.
Any additional research (based upon my report and recommendations) is only at your authorization.
Prior to conducting any research I would require complete disclosure of any prior research (to preclude duplication of research, unless authorized), a signed "letter of agreement" between myself and you (to document what results are expected), and an initial $250 retainer (non-refundable).
